Google Product Feed

Google Product Feed

Connect your Google Product Feed to OptiMonk and use your product catalog in recommendation popups and most popular product displays, on any platform with a Google Product Feed.

Google Product Feed Integration lets you import your product catalog into OptiMonk directly from your existing Google Product Feed, so you can use your product data in campaigns without maintaining a manual product list. If your store has a Google Product Feed, OptiMonk can pull in your catalog — including product names, images, and other key details — and turn it into a usable catalog inside the platform. This makes it available across your campaigns regardless of which ecommerce platform your store runs on. Once your catalog is imported, you can use it to display your most popular products in a recommendation popup, or manually select specific products you want to promote in a campaign.

Key benefits

  • No more manual product lists. Your Google Product Feed already contains everything OptiMonk needs. Connect your feed once, and turn on automated sync to keep your catalog up to date — no manual product lists to maintain.
  • Your product data stays accurate. With automated sync enabled, OptiMonk pulls directly from your feed so your campaigns always reflect your actual catalog. You can also refresh the catalog manually at any time.
  • Stores on unsupported platforms can run product-based campaigns too. If your store runs on Magento, PrestaShop, or a fully custom platform, connecting your Google Product Feed gives you access to product-based campaigns in OptiMonk that would otherwise require a native integration.

How it works

Step 1
Connect your Google Product Feed in OptiMonk

In your OptiMonk account, navigate to the integrations settings and paste in your Google Product Feed URL to connect it. OptiMonk will import your product data, including product names, images, and other key details, and turn it into a usable catalog inside the platform. Turn on automated sync to keep your catalog continuously up to date.

Step 2
Use your catalog in product-based campaigns

Once your catalog is imported, you can use it when setting up recommendation popups. Choose to display your most popular products automatically, or manually select specific products you want to promote in a campaign.

Frequently asked questions

What is Google Product Feed integration in OptiMonk?+

Google Product Feed integration lets you connect your existing product feed to OptiMonk and use your product catalog in campaigns. OptiMonk imports your product data — including names, images, and other key details — and makes it available for use in recommendation popups, regardless of which ecommerce platform your store runs on.

Which ecommerce platforms does this work with?+

Google Product Feed integration works with any ecommerce platform that can generate a Google Product Feed. It is particularly useful for stores on platforms that do not have a native OptiMonk integration — such as Magento, PrestaShop, or fully custom ecommerce stores. Note that platforms with a native OptiMonk integration, such as Shopify or WooCommerce, already have a direct catalog connection and do not need the feed workaround.

Do I need to create a new product feed specifically for OptiMonk?+

No. If your store already has a Google Product Feed — for example, one you use for Google Shopping — you can connect that same feed to OptiMonk. There is no need to create or maintain a separate feed.

How do I know if I have a Google Product Feed?+

A Google Product Feed is a file that contains your store's product data in a format accepted by Google. If your store is connected to Google Shopping or Google Merchant Center, you most likely already have one. If you are unsure, check your Google Merchant Center account or ask your developer — they will be able to confirm whether a feed exists and provide the feed URL needed to connect it to OptiMonk.

What can I do with my product catalog once it is imported?+

Once your catalog is imported, you can use it to display your most popular products in a recommendation popup or manually select specific products to promote in a campaign.
