Theme Kit
Create your own on-brand template family for all use cases.
Theme Kit is OptiMonk's brand identity configuration system — the place where you define your store's core visual elements once and have them automatically applied across every new campaign you create. By setting your main color, up to four secondary colors, primary and secondary fonts (from OptiMonk's library or a custom upload), and your preferred corner style (none, small, medium, or large), you create a custom Theme that OptiMonk remembers and applies whenever you select a compatible template. The result is a family of pre-built templates — spanning every campaign goal and format — that already match your brand the moment you open them in the editor, before you make a single manual change. OptiMonk automatically calculates four harmonious shades of your main color (darker and lighter variations) and applies them across template elements in a way that maintains visual coherence. Your logo, once uploaded to Theme Kit, appears automatically on all popup pages. Theme Kit is compatible with 12 named theme families — Essential, Photographic, Modern, Botanic, Midnight, Spark, Black, Inverse, Pure, Groundy, Edge, and Monochrome — and can be used to create new campaigns up to five times faster than building from scratch.
Key benefits
- Define your brand once — get a full on-brand template library instantly. Entering your main color, fonts, and corner style in Theme Kit transforms OptiMonk's template library into a personalized, on-brand collection. Every template from your chosen Theme family is automatically colored and styled to your specifications — so the first thing you see when you open a new campaign is something that looks like it was designed for your brand, not a generic placeholder you need to overhaul before it is usable.
- Launch new campaigns up to five times faster. The time savings from Theme Kit come from eliminating the per-element brand application that manual campaign design requires — matching colors, entering hex codes, selecting fonts, rounding corners, uploading a logo — repeated across the main page, teaser, and thank-you page of every campaign. With Theme Kit set, all of that happens automatically. You open a new campaign, the brand is already applied, and you go straight to editing the offer and copy.
- Manage multiple brands from a single OptiMonk account. If you manage campaigns for more than one store or brand, you can create a separate custom Theme for each — defining a distinct color palette, font set, and corner style per brand. Switching between them when creating campaigns for different clients or properties means every brand's campaigns remain visually distinct and consistent, without any cross-brand contamination of colors or styles.
How it works
Open any campaign in the OptiMonk editor. In the left navigation bar, click the Theme Kit tab — it appears at the top of the sidebar alongside the standard editor navigation options. This opens the Theme Kit settings panel where your brand identity elements are configured.
Set your main color by entering a hex code — OptiMonk automatically calculates four harmonious shades. Add up to four secondary colors. Upload your logo, which will automatically appear on all popup pages in campaigns using this Theme. Select your primary and secondary fonts from OptiMonk's supported font list, or upload a custom font family. Choose your preferred corner style from four options: none, small, medium, or large — this applies to popup containers, buttons, teasers, and form elements throughout all Theme-compatible campaigns.
When you create a new campaign and select a template from a Theme Kit-compatible theme family, your saved Theme Kit settings are applied automatically via the Mini-Wizard — colors, fonts, logo, and corner style all in place before you make any edits. If you adjust any Theme Kit element while building a new campaign, your updated settings are saved as the new default for future campaigns. Changes to Theme Kit do not affect previously published campaigns — each campaign retains the settings it was created with.
Frequently asked questions
What is Theme Kit in OptiMonk?+
Theme Kit is OptiMonk's brand identity configuration system where you define your main color, secondary colors, logo, primary and secondary fonts, and corner style. These settings are automatically applied to new campaigns built from Theme Kit-compatible templates, transforming the template library into a personalized on-brand collection for your store. Theme Kit is compatible with 12 named theme families and enables campaign creation up to five times faster than building from scratch.
What elements can I define in Theme Kit?+
Theme Kit supports five categories of brand settings: main color (one primary color from which OptiMonk auto-calculates four harmonious shades), secondary colors (up to four additional brand colors defined in hex codes), logo (uploaded once and automatically displayed on all popup pages), primary and secondary fonts (selected from OptiMonk's supported list or uploaded as a custom font family), and corner style (four options — none, small, medium, large — applied to popup containers, buttons, and teasers).
Does changing Theme Kit settings update my existing campaigns?+
No. Changing Theme Kit settings — by saving a new campaign with different colors, fonts, or corner style — does not affect any previously created or published campaign. Each campaign retains the Theme Kit settings that were active when it was created. If you want to update older campaigns to match new Theme Kit settings, you need to do so individually for each campaign. This is intentional — it prevents accidental restyling of live campaigns when you refine your brand settings.
Which themes are compatible with Theme Kit?+
Theme Kit is compatible with 12 named theme families: Essential, Photographic, Modern, Botanic, Midnight, Spark, Black, Inverse, Pure, Groundy, Edge, and Monochrome. Templates from these families are built to respond to Theme Kit settings and will display your brand colors, fonts, and corner styles automatically. Templates from themes outside this list do not support Theme Kit — the Theme Kit tab will not appear in the editor when a non-compatible template is used.
Can I create separate themes for multiple brands?+
Yes. If you modify Theme Kit settings — changing the main color, fonts, or corner style — while creating a new campaign, OptiMonk saves the new configuration as a separate custom Theme. You can build a distinct Theme per brand or client by configuring Theme Kit differently for each, then selecting the appropriate Theme when creating campaigns for that brand. This allows clean visual separation between multiple brands managed from a single OptiMonk account.
